Winelda (Win) Naomi Gardner was an inspiration to many people in her lifetime. But first and foremost, she was committed to raising a family that believed in the ideals she held most dear — social rights, equality for all, and the potential of every individual to go forward in life, whatever their background.
As a mother, she made sure her children had the confidence to dream, and the strength to pursue those dreams by teaching them to recognize and appreciate their own gifts and talents. The North End Wellness Centre will help to ensure that her legacy and spirit live on.
